This one, photographed in Monterrey, México, does both. The geometry is deliberate — a spiral of light and shadow that pulls the eye upward, step by step, toward something just out of frame. I found this stairway on an ordinary afternoon and recognized what it was: a study in form, repetition, and the quiet drama of architectural design.
