This image captures a mother walking her child to school along the ancient stone streets of Ollantaytambo — one of the few Inca towns still inhabited as it was centuries ago. In the doorway behind them, a red flag hangs quietly: the traditional signal that chicha, the Andean corn brew, is being sold inside. A detail so small, yet so alive with meaning.

I photographed this moment at the edge of dawn, when the cobblestones are still wet and the mountains haven't yet shown their face. The result is an image that doesn't just document a place — it holds a feeling.
